Update on the fam Nov 2010

We are settled in Wyoming, back home. We miss those places we've been and our friends. You are ALL welcome to stop by and stay awhile anytime. Clay generally has a couple of hunting buddies out each year. The more the merrier. We hope to get a little cabin at the top of our 40 acre parcel that overlooks the place and has a view of the mountain. It would be a good place for friends or family to stop by for a visit. Our place one the Platte River is quite unique we've discovered. Majority of people know about it. I guess it stands out because the home is the remodeled Powder River Train Depot. It also houses a small horse boarding business, we hope to expand. We are still moving in which is slow with both of us having more than full time jobs. I at the cardiology practice in town and clay at the old BP Oil refinery now turned golf course still under reclammation. Needless to say all are welcome to stop in, we could use the help!! Ha Ha. We now have a horse whose carrying, part Morgan and something else. We also have chickens and 2 geese to add to our wild deer, ducks, rabbits, and turkeys. It sure is fun but of course, work. We have a barn and put hay up in the loft off our 8 acres of alfalfa. Hope you all can stop by and enjoy it with us. We'd love to share! I hope to get a pumpkin patch/garden, home-made ice skating rink, and expand the horse boarding. All in due time. Talk to you hopefully again next month

We'll Get There Eventually

We made it to our new and permanent home at long last. We are at the edge of Casper and live in a beautiful house by the river now including 26 chickens all of which are named A-Z, 2 geese named Pip and Bib,1 horse Dakotah insists on changing the name from Cocoa saying it's too original, 1 black malti-poo named Button Punkin Price, 5 lizards known as critters, 1 mouse named Alfalfa, and 1 turkey-terrorizing cat called Gumdrop and known as Pretty-Kitty. Those are currently all of our officail pets but of course living in Wyoming we are hosting more than 21 turkeys total with too-many-to-count deer and 6 fawns,of course this isn't including the skunk and roacoons running around.
The girls are starting scool again and Dakotah is a Freshman starting Seminary while Sienna is in 2nd grade and CheyAnn is in 3rd. Mom and dad are still working as hard as ever while dealing with the new 7-acres of Alfalfa and their jobs but thankfully we're managing.
As for us though, like every family, we have struggles and trials but hey what's life for I suppose. It's times like this when both parents work fulltime jobs, the little girls are old enugh to have an attitude, and the responsibilities of cleaning, babysitting, homework, animals, and other school related activities come upon your already overloaded shoulders that you remember theres stillsomeone to talk to who went through as much stress and pain as we are. If I didn't have the gospel in my life I know that I probbly wouldn't be writing on a family blog right now.

Where Are We Now?

School seems to be going pretty good for everybody so far and it's almost the end of the school year to. We can't wait until summer, we have lots of plans.
We recently went to see our friends the Keisers and were able to stay with them a little while over spring break. Our family is still pretty much the same just a different zip code.
We've been looking at a few houses and found this one by the river that we really like, but aren't sure if we're going to be able to buy it yet.
Good news is that we finally sold our house in North Carolina, and are able to truly start looking for houses now.

We have been in Casper about 7 weeks, and we are moving into a new rental. What a pain. I don't know how we are going to move a piano. Clay and Wendy are both working and the girls are all doing well in school. Dakotah successfully completed volleyball season, and is now on to basketball. Clay sucessfully completed bow elk hunting season and is now waiting for ice fishing. Sienna and CheyAnn are just waiting for their next birthday party or trip to Coldstone (at least). Wendy is just trying to keep her head above water in her new cardiology PA position. We have not yet sold our house back in NC, but have high hopes. Then we can actually look at buying a home here in WY. Snow is threatening to fall tonight, so excitement is in the air for all kinds of reasons. Hope you are enjoying life where ever you are!

Casper Wyoming.
We made it after a 3 day trip to a little house in the middle of Wyomings biggest state. Everthing is a lot closer than we expected but its definately conveniant. We miss everyone in North Carolina so much.
The Girls are all in school CheyAnn is going to Pineview Elementry, Sienna is at Verda James Elementry, and Dakotah is going to Casper Classical Academy. They all like their schools even though we weren't able to put them together.
Mom is working at Wyoming Cardiopulmenary Services and dad is working at Trec Inc. We've gotten everything unpacked pretty quickly but i wouldn't say we've settled yet. We have one room stacked full of boxes. Theres hardly any room in this little rental for all of our stuff but we're managing.
We haven't found a permanent location but we're looking, wish us luck!!!
